Addiction Studies
The ADCT advisory committee that Marcy is in the process of forming is the only formal advisory committee that is associated with ALSS. Otherwise, faculty network with colleagues at HSU (and sometimes other institutions) on an as-needed basis to mutually assist with associate faculty recruitment, coordinating offerings, or working on special projects (such as the Latin American Film Festival).

Anthropology
I maintain a research associate status with HSU and speak with HSU anthropology faculty about recruiting and scheduling associate faculty and correlating course content. I also maintain ties to HSU's Center for Indian Community Development, where I did an internship during my sabbatical in 2005-06.

Art
The Eureka campus art department is in regular contact with the art faculty at Humboldt State University, and have maintained CR/HSU articulation agreements with nearly all of the art courses we offer.
We have ties with the local galleries, the Morris Graves museum, and the Kinetic Sculpture race. We've also established a campus Clay Club that serves as an educational resource and fundraiser for department projects and exhibitions, including our visiting artists' program.

Music
When beneficial to the Music and Drama programs, communication with H.S.U. faculty members is conducted on an as-needed basis via e-mail or telephone.  At times it has been useful to contact individuals in other institutions concerning specific issues; communication is, again, by e-mail or telephone.  No liaison committee for C.R. and H.S.U. music and drama programs currently exists.

Native American Studies
Without full-time faculty, interfaces with HSU through Joe Giovannetti. He teaches NAS full-time at HSU and teaches 1-2 classes a semester at CR.

Sociology
Long-time CR associate faculty in Sociology, Nezzie Wade and Linda Ellis, who also have connections to HSU and other community organizations, provide me with advice about associate faculty, scheduling, textbook orders, and other decisions beyond my expertise.
