The Redwoods Community College District Board of Trustees is seeking interested persons to serve on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee for the Humboldt and Mendocino County areas.

Qualified applicants should fall into one of the following categories:

  • Active in the support and organization of the Redwoods Community College District, such as a member of an advisory council or foundation.
  • A currently enrolled student at College of the Redwoods Student active in a campus group.

A $40 million general obligation bond was passed by the voters on November 2, 2004.

A Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee was established to monitor and audit the use of bond proceeds in accordance with Education Code Sections 15278 et al., the Board of Trustees Policy (#BP 6740), and Administrative Procedure (#AP6740). Meetings are held quarterly on the Eureka Main Campus.

No past or present employee or official of the Redwoods Community College District shall be appointed to the Committee. Additionally, no vendor, contractor, or consultant of the Redwoods Community College District shall be appointed to the Committee.

Appointment to the committee will be by the Board of Trustees at a future meeting.
