Students will be taught interactively that there are no mysteries or secrets to the basics of computers.  This class is for beginning computer users that could benefit from a little confidence boost.  The course will cover equipment, email, internet, documents, folders, files and any topic other the class may find interesting or fun!  Students will learn the infinite uses of this amazing machine!

This course is designed to showcase the power of one of today's most productive work place tools—Excel. Learn quickly how to turn your basic Excel skills into a recognized talent. Explore how to work with multiple worksheets, build self-updating tables, embed custom formulas and commands, create meaningful charts, and use a pivot table. An excellent class for prospective math & science majors too!

Learning Microsoft Office 2013’s WORD Program, or expanding current skills with
the program, opens the door of technology opportunity. Word skills can be used in other programs such as Open Office, older versions of Microsoft Office, and Google Documents. This is one class that can go a long way towards opening that door to digital literacy and becoming competent in one of the premier tools used in businesses today.
Class will cover the basics like creating a new document, opening and saving files, format-ting and printing, plus the beginning use of templates and tables.

Intermediate Word for business covers those frustrating areas that seem to always go “off-track” just as you need to take some document into an important meeting or turn it into your boss.  This class will cover reputation-saving things like how to make a Table of Contents, using styling to create stunning professional presentations, the basics of mail merge, how to competently design a multipage project in Word, the conquering of headers & footers, pagination, and track-changes; plus an overview of the flexibility of using Microsoft Office with other software options including Google Docs.
