How to Register
College of the Redwoods Community & Economic Delopment is approved through the California Bureau of Real Estate (CalBRE) for real estate classes in two forms: Live Lecture Classes and Correspondence.

COURSE DATES AND TIMES
Real Estate Principles (036636)
Dates: October 21st - December 16th, 2014
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Real Estate Practice (036638)
Dates: January 6th – February 24th, 2015
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays/ 6pm-9pm
Real Estate Finance (036640)
Dates: March 3th – April 28th, 2015
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Bundle Cost: $1,495
This fee covers the cost for three courses; Real Estate Practice, Real Estate Principles, and Real Estate Finance. Also included are the textbooks, all course materials, instructors, and upon successful completion of each course, a Certificate of Completion. There will be no other course fees.
The bundle price applies only to the courses and dates above. If you are unable to take this scheduled bundle, you can opt to pay for each class individually.
Other Options: $599 for Each Class Individually.
We do have payment plans available for students enrolled in the Real Estate Bundle.
Half down ($750 plus service fee $20) due at registration and then $372.50 due on the 5th of November and then again on the 5th of December.
Students who do not make their payments will not be issued a Certificate of Completion and will not be allowed to take subsequent classes.
Correspondance Classes (CalBRE Statutory ID# S0086)
Correspondence classes are open entry/open exit. Students must complete classes within one year of enrollment. Students cannot complete each class faster than 18 days.

How to Register:
Call the CR Community & Economic Development site at (707) 476-4500 or stop by the office at 525 D Street, Eureka.
Credit Card Policy: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover will be accepted and if a refund is warranted, said card, if used, will be credited.
Name: Your name will be printed on your certificate the same way it is entered into our system when you register. Be sure that any name changes are taken care of so that you have the correct name on your certificate.
A student may obtain a full refund, less a $20 handling fee, if College of the Redwoods receives a written notice of cancellation more than 3 days prior to the first class, pending the return of course materials undamaged and unused. No refund after this date.
Students registered for the live lecture class bundle, who wish to drop during the courses, will be refunded the entire amount, less $599 per classes taken or partially taken.
For Example: A student wishing to drop during Real Estate Practice will be charged $599 for Real Estate Principles AND $599 for Real Estate Practice. $1495 - $599 -$599 = $297 in refund.
A refund will be sent within 30 days after return of materials if the terms and time periods noted above have been met.
Final Examination Procedures and Grading System
To pass each course you must score 70% or better on the 100 multiple choice open book final examination. The final examination can be taken twice. In the event of not passing on the second attempt, the student will need to re-enroll in the class. A passing grade on the final is required for a certificate of completion.
Student Evaluation Form
A student evaluation form regarding the course is available online at the California Bureau of Real Estate website www.dre.ca.gov . On this home page you can click on “Course & Instructor Evaluation” then complete the form and then click “Send Your Evaluation to the BRE” and it will be received by the CalBRE.
The classes will also be evaluated by College of the Redwoods. You will be asked to complete a confidential evaluation at the end of each class.
When you can take the State Examination
Upon completion of three Real Estate courses, you may then apply for the State Real Estate Examination. The real estate examination consists of 150 multiple-choice questions and an applicant is allowed 3 ¼ hours to complete the test. The examination is administered in Oakland, Sacramento, Fresno, Los Angeles, and San Diego. For more information: www.dre.ca.gov/Examinees
