CR Fast Facts

The primary objective of College of the Redwoods is the success of each student.  We consider education to be a process of intellectual and physical exploration that rests upon the mutual responsibility of the College and the student.

Colors: Maroon and Gold    Mascot: Corsair

Athletic Teams: Baseball, Football. Women's & Men's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball, Softball, Volleyball

The District

Founded in 1964, the Redwoods Community College District serves over 5,900 square miles of northwestern California, including Humboldt County, Del Norte County, coastal Mendocino County, and a portion of trinity County.  Classes are offered at the Eureka Main Campus, Del Norte and Mendocino campuses, Downtown Eureka, Arcata,  Klamath-Trinity Instructional Sites, and online.

Faculty & Staff

The District employs over 323 full-time employees, 215 part-time faculty, and 340 other temporary staff.  CR is one of the largest employers in Humboldt County.

Financial Aid

Financial aid awards distributed to eligible students totals over $10,000 each year, which includes federal and state grants, loans, and work study.
