College of the Redwoods is one of 14 campuses that provides this assistance to students who need help with housing.CR has been part of the pilot program for the past four years. The homeless and housing insecurity pilot program offers rapid rehousing services, housing navigation services and rental subsidies to students.Case managers from Arcata House Partnership come to CR and meet with students who need housing support. The CR foundation also offers a scholarship program for students who might be experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness.

The BNC offers a food pantry, snacks, hot beverages, meal cards, and grocery cards for food insecure students. We can also help students apply for CalFresh.

The BNC offers bus passes and gas cards to low income students.


Showers and lockers are available to students 7am-9pm in the Gym. Free locks are available in the BNC.


We offer a clothing and supply closet with coats, backpacks, shoes, socks, underwear, towels, sleeping bags, tents, toiletries, school supplies, and survival items for low income and housing insecure students.
