Facilities

The Automotive Program at College of the Redwoods offers offers a fully ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician Training Program including coursework in all 8 ASE areas.

The Automotive Train Center is located at the College of the Redwoods Eureka campus.The campus can be found 7 miles South of Eureka, in Humboldt County California. As the name of the college implies, the campus is located in the heart of the Redwoods on the northern coast of California. To the West is the Pacific ocean, and to the East are the beautiful mountains and rivers of the north coast.

The college is set within four small communities. These are Fortuna, Eureka, Arcata and McKinleyville.

The Training Center gets most of its students from these areas; however, the College of the Redwoods has dormitory facilities for students from out of the area.

ASE/NATEF

The Automotive Program at College of the Redwoods offers offers a fully ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician Training Program including coursework in all 8 ASE areas.

The Automotive Program at College of the Redwoods recently achieved the highest industry recognition for automotive training programs by successfully becoming an Automotive Service Excellence, Master Certified, Training Program. The National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF), a branch of ASE, sets the highest standards recognized nationally for this type of training. The course of study, facilities, and equipment of the institution were evaluated and found to meet these standards for excellence in the following areas; Brakes, Engine Performance, Electrical/Electronic, Suspension & Steering, Engine Repair, Manual Drive Train & Axles, Automatic Transmissions & Transaxles, and Heating and Air Conditioning.
