Learn to thread and use your sewing machine. You will be shown all

the fundamentals you need to "get going sewing"!  Then you will

prepare and lay out a commercial pattern and cut it out of fabric,

make patch pockets, and apply facings.  The class project is a

butcher-style apron.  Upon completion of this class you will be ready

to move on to basic home decor projects or basic clothing techniques.

Bring your own working sewing machine, or use one of ours.  There

is a $10 kit fee for this class that will include the apron pattern.

This class continues from Basic Sewing Part 1.  Learn techniques

such as setting sleeves, adding borders and pockets, hemming by

hand or machine, and basic fitting.  The class project is a semi-fitted

kimono-style robe or pajamas.  The robe and pajama pattern is

available in class for $5.
