About Us

The Facilities Management and Planning Department for College of the Redwoods is made up of a diverse group of employees at our Eureka and Del Norte sites.

We are responsible for daily Facility/Maintenance and Operational items related to: carpentry, custodial, doors and locks, electrical, gardening/grounds, mechanical systems plumbing, short and long range planning, project development/oversight, and so much more.

Monday thru Friday

All facility emergencies, e.g. major water leaks, utility outages, sewer backups, immediate safety hazards, fallen trees, obstructed sidewalks, gas odors, or any situation that is a major impact to campus facilities/environment, should be called directly to the Maintenance offices (during regular hours, see above) :

If outside the regular operating hours, during weekends, or on holidays, please contact the CR Police Department at (707) 476-1111. Please be as specific as possible when reporting an issue.


Building Operations & Maintenance

Building Maintenance includes operating and maintaining the various building systems.  This includes the maintenance and programming of the Energy Management Systems and campus wide fire alarm system. We also provide minor alterations to classrooms and offices.

Repair of any building component to include office, classroom or common area building fixtures requires the submission of a work order online.

Custodial Services

Custodial staff clean their assigned building/areas; completing tasks in the areas of restroom cleaning and sanitizing, classroom cleanup, sweeping and mopping floors, stairs, hallways and walkways, stocking restroom supplies, pulling trash and recycling, dusting and window cleaning. Staff also complete requests for event set-ups and breakdown. Custodial Staff also provides furniture moves as requested.

Grounds Maintenance

College of the Redwoods Main Campus is located on 268 acres of forested land south of the City of Eureka CA.  The Del Norte Campus occupies 35 acres in Crescent City CA. Grounds Maintenance provides services to the Eureka and Del Norte campuses and associated athletic fields for general grounds maintenance to planting new landscape and servicing campus parking lots and roads, our staff is working behind the scenes to keep the campus safe and beautiful.

Days / Hours – Monday thru Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Campus Mail
Mail from USPS and packages from USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc. are received in the Warehouse/Mailroom Monday thru Friday, unless circumstances arise. UPS and FedEx times vary. Mail is sorted daily for delivery on campus.

Incoming Deliveries
We accept freight deliveries from vendors Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. We have a loading dock and forklift available to take delivery of items. Specific questions regarding freight deliveries can be answered by calling the Warehouse/Mailroom at 707-476-4101 (off campus) or ext. 4101 (on campus)
